Gina Choi, [Choi, Gina] better known by her stage name G.NA, is a Canadian-born South Korean Singer under Cube Entertainment, born on September 13, 1987 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. G.NA was originally set to debut as the leader of girl group Five Girls (오소녀) under Good Entertainment, along with Wonder Girls’s Yubin, After School’s UEE, Secret’s Hyosung and former T-ara member and actress Jiwon. However, the group disbanded shortly before their scheduled debut in 2007 due to Good Entertainment’s financial troubles and then members left to separate companies.
She is Also Rumored to have Dated SuperJunior’s Eunhyuk back in 2007, When she was just a Trainee.
Debut Information;
G.NA released her digital duet song “애인이 생기면 하고 싶은 일 (Things I Want to Do When I Have a Lover)” together with Rain on July 5, 2010, solidifying her break into the industry. G.NA’s debut album ‘Draw G’s First Breath’ is the most-anticipated female solo act, and as such, the line-up for the production was something else. Kim DoHoon, ShinSaDong Tiger, Jung JiChan, Kang JiWon, and other great staff participated in her album, and the tracks they have created have been receiving praise. G.NA’s debut music video, “꺼져 줄게 잘 살아 (I’ll Back Off So You Can Live),” featured BEAST’s Doo Joon as the male actor, as well as Jun Hyung’s rapping. Before her on-air debut on the music show, she was congratulated and cheered on by her former Five Girls members Hyosung, Uee and Yubin through pre-recorded footage. She won her first award on M Countdown on 12 August 2010.
